Vancouver provides a year round Salmon fishery. During the winter months & into early spring, we have some of our best action with healthy, strong Winter Chinook/King salmon. Some of our best Salmon fishing can be found early in the year. When Winter Chinook fishing in HoweSound/Vancouver there are many Salmon hot spots that produce & provide amazing West Coast scenery!

Chinook/Blackmouth fishing continues thru April, May & June with large numbers entering the lower Georgia Strait & Vancouver's waters. This marks the return of the first larger migratory Chinook Salmon to the Fraser River and other Vancouver area rivers. Chinook/King salmon up to the 30 lb mark also known as a Tyee are common! Once again one can have some of the most active Salmon fishing during this time, with multiple fish days being very common!

In Vancouver the summer & fall months bring our largest Chinook Salmon in to Vancouver's waters. For the angler looking catch a Tyee August, September & October is a great time to try one's luck! The other 4 species of Pacific Salmon, Coho/Silvers, Sockeye, Pink & Chum  all migrate thru the area providing great action and entertainment when a large school is holding in the area!
